What is it?
Unlike other face masks a sleeping mask is used at the end of your routine and left on your face. I often feel like I don’t have the patience to wait 10-20 minutes for a regular wash off mask so it can be nice to just put on a sleeping mask that I can leave on when I go to bed. It does not feel sticky at all.
Packaging
The jar is cute, it has a thick glass base that feels heavy in your hand. The signature white label square is printed directly on the jar instead of being a sticker label.
Scent
Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask has a fresh fruity watermelon scent. It’s a nice natural watermelon scent, which is probably from them using real watermelon in it!
Texture
It has a nice texture that is almost hard to describe, it’s gel like in the feel but not like any typical gel. I guess one way to describe it would be bouncy. It’s pleasant, light, not at all greasy. My face feels well hydrated and glowing after putting it on.
Sustainability
It has a glass jar which is an infinitely recyclable material, always a good sustainable material. The lid is mixed materials, and it has a plastic cap. They have a take-back program in partnership with TerraCycle that you can send the lid and cap, but if you read my blog, you will know that this is just greenwashing.
Should you buy it?
It does live up to the hype and is a nice treat. If a bouncy fruity watermelon sleeping mask sounds like something that will bring you joy it can be worth the splurge, but I wouldn’t say it’s a must-have.
