Kintsugi

Kintsugi translated directly means 'golden joinery' and is the japanese art of mending broken pottery using golden lacquer, which highlights the damage and makes it into something beautiful instead of hiding it. It has connections to the aesthetic philosophy of wabi-sabi, which embraces the flawed and imperfect.

I imagine this as a concept for a relaxing spa inspired by wabi-sabi. A place where people can find acceptance and appreciation for the imperfect.
